Light-up McIntosh will begin at the Civic Center at 6:30 p.m. The event will host Santa Clause and an area choir from six local churches will sing.

Editor's note: In the March town council meeting, the council decided to seek part-time help in the summer months. Councilman Lee Deaderick asked in the meeting if I would post the notice in the Mirror to help get the word out.
Town of McIntosh Employment Notice:
The Town of McIntosh is seeking a part-time summer employee to assist half days in the maintenance department.
The main function of this job will be to assist with lawn maintenance.
Hours: 8:00 – 12:00 noon
Days: Monday – Thursday
Hourly Rate: $8 - $12/hour
(Salary commensurate with experience)

I'm Cher From McIntosh, FL I'm a graduate student at the University of Florida working on a master's degree in Mass Communication. While I was finishing my undergrad degree in journalism last year, I reported on McIntosh, Fla. for an in-depth reporting class. I figured that the reporting and the public record files should go somewhere people can access them. Reporters don't report to keep the information they find to themselves.
